I will have photographs and image transfers for sale at Matthew Provoast's Light Gallery + Studio during their holiday artist sale from December 10th through mid January. The photo above, captured in South Africa on a Polaroid Land Camera, will also be for sale printed on 44"x60" watercolor paper. There are around 15 artists with work for sale ranging from cards and pillows to paintings and hand crafted furniture. Stop on in and check it out!

For this year's Artprize I will be displaying a series of 8 39"x50" image transfers at Reynolds & Sons Sporting Goods. The series of large photographs, descriptively titled South African Landscapes, was created from reclaimed and manipulated peel-apart film negatives that I photographed while in South Africa earlier this year. They will be on display in six windows that span the second story of Reynolds & Sons as well as in two windows of the first floor storefront windows. My work will be lit around the clock, so stop by anytime! Sturgis Art Walk

Two images of mine, Holding Room in Former "Security Prison 21" of the Khmer Rouge, Phnom Penh, Cambodia (left) and Portrait #11 (right) will be on display at the UICA from June 1st through June 26th as part of the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts. This is the 47th year of the festival, which includes the juried art show Festival 2016 Regional Arts Exhibition that my entries were selected for by this year's jurors. The Opening Reception for the Festival 2016 Regional Arts Exhibition will be held on Wednesday, June 1, from 5:00 to 8:30 pm.
KIA West Michigan Area Show
One of my photographs taken during my time in Southeast Asia, entitled, Holding Room in Former "Security Prison 21" of the Khmer Rouge, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, will be on display starting April 8th at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts as part of their juried art show "West Michigan Area Show". The show was juried by Grand Rapids Art Museum Chief Curator Ron Platt. I am excited to be a part of the show, which will be on exhibit through July 10th of this year. This photograph is also currently on exhibit as part of another juried show at the George A. Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, MO.

I feel honored to have been selected by the juror of the show and Chief Curator at the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) Ron Platt for this year's Signature Artists Cooperative Award. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out last night for the opening reception and awards ceremony! Out of over 500 submissions to the juried show, there were 106 works from 100 artists included in the final exhibit. There will also be awarded a "people's choice" award upon the show's completion this July 8th, so if you are in the area it's not too late to stop by, see some art, and cast a vote!

Artprize 2015 at Cathedral Square was a blast! The opening reception for all of the artists with work on display here was amazing, and the artist talk led by myself along with two other photographers went fantastic. My entry for Artprize 2015, entitled, View of an Alleyway, Bangkok, Thailand, was sold to a fine art photography collector for her vacation home in Florida. All in all, I would say that 2015 was a great year for Artprize and I am excited to exhibit in next year's Artprize as well!
